Route overview: The river starts in O'Grady lakes and quickly descends in continuous class 2/3 rock gardens. The First few days are continuous class 2/3 whitewater. The best opportunities for a hike day in this section are at O'Grady lakes, or within the first few Kms, after that hiking is there although few and far between. the next good area for hiking is where the river flattens before its final dive to the Keele. The final section on the Keele is some of the best white water the North has to offer! Take your time, scout often, portage or line if you have to. The biggest rapids are within the first few Kilometers.
Fishing: O'Grady lakes has Lake Trout and Grayling. The river has Bull Trout and Grayling. Please be respectful and do not over fish! take only large sized Trout! It is becoming an increasing problem that these pristine rivers are becoming more and more overfished.
